We are excited to announce our latest range of PulseJackTM Integrated Connector modules (ICM) for the PCIexpress market. The New JT4-xCx series covers data rates 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10Gigabit and can be used for with the latest 4 and 5 speed multi-rate PhYs.
The JT4-xCx series is an evolution on the popular JT4 platform that was released 10 years ago. Initially purely to service the emerging 10Gigabit market. However, nowadays the demand for “soft” switching equipment and switches, where connectivity and data rates are software selectable without the need to change the hardware. This new use range has parts matched to the latest PhYs with either switchable fixed data rates, 1G, 2.5G and 5Gig or for multi-rate nGig or m.Gig PhYs, where speed of 100M to 10Gig can be allocated, depending on the communications interface chosen on the plug-in card supporting the PCIexpress link format.
As PCI Express or PCIe is a high-speed serial computer expansion bus standard, It’s designed to support additional add-on features to motherboards within personal and professional IT and Datacom equipment. The latest standard has numerous improvements on the older expansion slot technology for higher bandwidth. This matches the growing demand for faster data rates connected with AI computing and short transmission over copper under 100m but offered in a smaller and lower profile card/rack size. whereby, any RJ45 connector used needs to be of a lower height than conventional products at under 12mm.
- The new JT4-xCx range stands at just 11.9mm above the PCB and is designed to support PCIe boards that are fitted in slots with a 1U (22.48mm) pitch and below on the expansion or motherboard.
- Advantages for the new JT4-xCx series are their ability to support Multi-rate Ethernet with options for 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10G and to provide up to PoE (90W) with option for EMI and LEDs.
- The 30 micro-inches gold plated contact terminals guarantee a minimum of 750 insertion, low contact resistance for improved connectivity and with all PulseJack ranges they benefit form Pulse Electronics years of experience, designing magnetics in close co-operation with leading PhYS vendors to get the best in signal integrity and reliability for critical communication
