Wireless News

All of our outdoor antennas are designed with quality, durability, functionality, and longevity in mind. But at the same time, each of our antenna series offers unique features that make them ideal for different types of needs and functions. In this post, we’ll take a closer look at ten of our most popular outdoor antennas and what makes them stand out to those with outdoor antenna needs.

Armadillo (ARM) Much like it’s animal namesake, the Armadillo has a sleek, rugged, and low-profile design that makes it ideal for vehicles that have a lot of hard work to do–or situations where tampering and vandalism are possible issues. (Multi-band frequency options – LTE/WiFi/GNSS)

Razorback (RAZ) The Razorback has the best performance of our multi-band transportation antennas, including great antenna gain, good isolation between antennas, and ideal round omni antenna patterns. If you don’t mind a slightly taller profile, this is an excellent choice for vehicle fleets. (Multi-band frequency options – LTE/WiFi/GNSS)

Jaguar (JAG) While the Armadillo and Razorback options are primarily meant to be mounted on metal, the Jaguar is ideal for mounting on plastic, fiberglass or even glass surfaces. This easily customizable, low profile antenna is often picked because it can incorporate up to six different cables for six different frequency bands. (Multi-band frequency options – LTE/WiFi/GNSS)

DISC The DISC family of antennas includes a GPS/GNSS as well as 3G or ISM antenna for IoT and machine-to-machine applications. The small, round antennas are excellent for use on vehicles, utility boxes, and meters with more frequency options come soon!

Shark Fin (FIN) The shark fin is a common choice for vehicle fleets, since it is aesthetically pleasing, easy to install, high performing, and economical. Ideal for mobile data, public safety, WLAN and asset tracking applications, they are also rugged enough to stand up to everything from tree branches to bad weather.

Radome Omni (RO) These remote monitoring antennas are extremely rugged (high winds and extreme temperatures are no match) and point radially outward in all directions across the horizon, instead of just up and down. They are excellent for a central node that will communication with many remote locations.  Various gains and downtilt options are available.

LPT These low-height monopole omni-directional antennas are ideal for for remote monitoring, IoT, and SCADA, as long as you are mounting them on metal surfaces. Most popular for its tamper-proof direct mount option, it also has supports multiple cable and connector options and available in multiple frequenies.

Shadow Low Profile Transit (SLPT) These slim but rugged antennas for, public safety, WLAN, LTE and 3G/4G applications specifically serve emerging Internet of Things needs. Cost-effective, robust and high-performing, this line of antennas is a top choice.

YAGI The YA3, YA5, and YA6 series of directional antennas are strengthened with aluminum alloy to ensure high-durability and longevity while providing superior signal radiation and broad bandwidth capabilities, no matter the weather conditions.  Available in multiple frequencies and gains.

LP800 The LP800 series is omni-directional, has an integrated ground plane (metal base), and is only 1.5 inches tall, making it a great choice for those looking for a low-profile, ISM, unity gain antenna in either black or white.

BRK0003 – Need a multi-purpose bracket?  This one-of-a-kind bracket does it all!  Ideal for I-beam, pole or wall mounting. This rugged, carbon steel, universal bracket design just made installation and cable management a whole lot easier.  Complete with u-bolts and washers and accommodates all of PulseLarsen outdoor antennas.
